The Hyperliquid coin is making headlines with its massive Q2 performance, registering its native token HYPE’s all-time high level in May. Now, in April it has surged amazingly over 20% in the past 3 days and has amazed market participants.

Binance Listing Fuels HYPE Surge

The HYPE crypto has become the brightest altcoin, which has outperformed several altcoins, and in the intraday session, the strong rally was sparked by a latest listing announcement from Binance. It stated in X post that it would list on a spot trading platform, but the exact listing date has not been disclosed yet.

Amid this listing announcement, Hyperliquid founder Jeff Yan has fired back at CZ of Binance for criticizing HYPE crypto’s public pools. While this social drama looks intense for many, the Wintermute founder recently commented that this drama on X is a well-played promotion for the Hyperliquid.

Jeff Yan Responds to CZ Criticism

Today, on June 3rd, a large post was dropped on X from Jeff Yan, and it appears like a strong reply to Binance founder Changpeng Zhao (CZ).

Previously, James Wynn’s position was liquidated last week, which sparked the debate. Knowing this aggressive hunt of a $100M BTC position, CZ strongly criticized Hyperliquid’s public pool, and gave a solution, as he proposed a private dark pool.

In response, Jeff Yan said that there is no guarantee that these pools wouldn’t be outsmarted by operators and insiders. However,  amid this heated debate, Binance gave a listing announcement, which boosted its price.

Tracking the debate, Wintermute founder Evgeny Gaevoy viewed this debate as a drama for the promotion of Hyperliquid. 

Market Sentiment Points to New ATH

According to Santiment metrics, Q2 has shown notable growth in volume and an increase in followers during April and May. This uptick coincides with a more positive sentiment among users, reflected in a rising trend in weighted sentiment.

In May, the HYPE price reached an all-time high (ATH), which closely correlated with a spike in weighted sentiment. However, in the final week of May, as the price began to decline, the weighted sentiment also fell back to the weighted sentiment trendline.

As June begins, the last three days have shown positive momentum, further bolstered by favorable developments such as the announcement of a Binance listing. If this positive sentiment continues to rise, the HYPE price could potentially reach a new all-time high.
